The serving of arrest warrant of joint personnel of Paracale and Camarines Norte Police ended in an armed confrontation when the brother of the subject person fired against the arresting authorities at five o’clock in the morning on Monday, Nov 14, in Brgy. Dagang, Paracale of Camarines Norte, according to a police report.
An arrest warrant was to be served against Adolfo Villan after two different courts ordered his arrest. Villan was charged of RA 9516 or Illegal possession of explosives and 2 counts of robbery.
Police report says “Service of warrant of arrest resulted in an armed confrontation wherein Reynaldo Villan y Mago brother of the accused, fired against the approaching police operatives and an exchange of gunfire ensued that resulted in the neutralization of Reynaldo”.
Reynaldo was then brought to Labo District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. His brother Adolfo, the subject of the arrest warrant was able to escape and authorities are on pursuit operations.
