𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗼𝘁𝗣𝗛 is a Bicol-based online news site founded in 2020 by former ABS-CBN journalists. Now led by emerging voices, BicoldotPH blends community relevance with independent journalism. 

Originally established as a cooperative, BicoldotPH now operates under DIGIBRN Media Production as a fully volunteer-run initiative. Its growing network of student journalist-interns has played a vital role in covering regional news—from elections and local affairs to weather-related emergencies, ensuring timely and credible reporting across Bicol.

These hands-on experiences offer a rare and meaningful alternative: a vital space for rigorous, community-oriented reporting. Academic partnerships across the region, including Bicol University, Ateneo de Naga University, and University of Santo Tomas–Legazpi, continue to fuel its mentorship efforts and commitment to public trust.

As its editorial scope expands to include climate and environmental reporting, BicoldotPH aims to center stories of hope with teeth: clear-eyed narratives that inform, equip, and foster deeper understanding. In a region where misinformation poses as news and climate threats go underreported, BicoldotPH’s newsroom experiences foster shared resilience. Student-interns hone critical skills through accurate, field-driven reporting, while communities reclaim agency by seeing their realities reflected clearly, urgently, and with care.

Editor-in-Chief Aireen Perol-Jaymalin anchors this editorial shift, carrying forward BicoldotPH’s mission as its sole remaining founding member. She is joined by Editor-at-Large Rey Anthony Ostria, contributor to CoverStory.ph and former journalism professor at Bicol University, and Director of Content Operations Mavic Conde, a freelance environmental journalist.
