In an effort to bring services and products closer to the people, the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) conducted their Kaunlaran Caravan on Thursday, February 8 at Brgy. Poblacion Covered Court in Dimasalang, Masbate.
The event was organized by CARD Bank, Inc., a microfinance-oriented rural bank and a member institution of CARD MRI specializing in providing loans and savings products tailored to the needs of microfinance clients.
Leslie Jane Banayo, the Marketing Manager, highlighted the Caravan’s inclusivity, stating that it aims to serve individuals of all ages and backgrounds, turning the event into a one-stop shop for various services.
Initiated by Dr. Jaime Aristotle Alip, the founder of CARD MRI, and supported by the entire management team, the Kaunlaran Caravan focuses on offering services to a wide range of clients, not limited to CARD members.
The event provides access to essential services such as medical check-ups, dental treatments, optical examinations, as well as opportunities for product development, financial literacy for children, and wellness activities like massage and grooming services.
This initiative exemplifies CARD MRI’s commitment as a social development organization with more than 20 member institutions working towards the common goal of poverty eradication in the Philippines. | Jeric Lopez
