GVS Hosts Student Fair and Caravan for Albayanos Seeking to Study Abroad

The Gateway Visa Solution (GVS) company hosted a student visa fair and caravan on Saturday, March 16, at SM City Legazpi, catering to Albayanos interested in pursuing careers in Canada.

The initiative extends free consultation and assessment services to Albayanos aspiring to study and establish careers abroad, focusing on four prominent Canadian institutions.

Aspiring students can choose from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), Oxford International Education Group, Alexander College, and Algona University, with each institution represented by Filipino delegates to discuss opportunities awaiting them.

Dwight Ustaris, GVS Education Counselor, highlighted that this event is not only geared towards assisting Albayanos in studying abroad but also in helping them realize their dreams.

“Meron tayong mga dreams na nandito lang sa atin but we don’t know how to start so with this [event] The Gateway Visa Solution, we are just the door opening for those dreamers na gusto talagang pumuntang Canada. We are [here] not only to help them but to make them realize their dreams,” Ustaris said.

He also noted that Canada was chosen due to its top-ranking status in quality education, quality of life, and culturally diverse career opportunities. But they also provide free assistance for other countries, like Australia, in their other caravans.

Meanwhile, Rain Kirsten Claire Lim, a social work student from Bicol University, voiced her interest in pursuing her career abroad, noting Canada as an appealing destination due to the favorable opportunities it offers.

“Usapan kasi sa course namin, magaganda talaga ang mga opportunities sa Canada, like mabibigyan nila nang pansin ang mga social workers, ” Lim shared.

Every month, the GVS company hosts a visa fair and caravan in various locations across Bicol. Their upcoming stop is Catanduanes.

For Albayanos interested, they can still visit SM City Legazpi to seek GVS company for free consultation and assessment to pursue opportunities abroad. | Melojane Guiriña, Gabby Bajaro
