Drug-bust operations in Cam Sur and Cam Norte yield multiple arrests

Recent drug-bust operations in Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte have resulted in multiple arrests and the dismantlement of a drug den.

On Friday, February 23, authorities conducted a buy-bust operation at Brgy. Matauroc, Minalabac, Camarines Sur, that led to the apprehension of four alleged drug offenders and the dismantlement of a drug den, putting a stop to its illegal activities.

A high-value individual (HVI), known as “Dolfo,” 29 years old, was among the apprehended individuals, along with the other three suspects, identified as “Nard,” 24 years old, “Ram,” 42 years old, and “Bert,” 29 years old; unfortunately, their cohort with the alias “Leclec” managed to escape arrest.

15 grams of suspected “shabu” with an estimated street value of P102,000 were seized during the operation and were then transferred to the custody of the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU), Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office (PPO) for further processing.

Furthermore, on Thursday, February 22, Camarines Norte PPO nabbed two individuals in two separate buy-bust operations.

P34,000 worth of “shabu” was confiscated from “Ran,” aged 52, at Purok 4, Barangay Calero, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte.

Simultaneously, a member of the Gutierrez drug group, identified as “Ger,” aged 43, was also arrested, with P39,400 worth of suspected “shabu” in hand.

All the arrested drug offenders are now under custody and are to be charged under RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | Kian Kirby F. Florano
