The Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development (DOH Bicol CHD) recognized the efforts of LGUs, stakeholders, and partners through the 12th Salud Bikolnon Awards held on Thursday, December 14 at The Marison Hotel, Legazpi City.
This yearly event serves as a platform to commend LGUs and partners in health who have excelled in the implementation of health programs and services. The activity also highlights the strategies and innovations of stakeholders in supporting the strategic health outcomes of the DOH.
Over 100 awardees received plaques and cheques for their dedication and hard work in implementing programs and services that promote health and well-being in their respective communities.
The highlight of the event was the announcement of the major award, the Green Achiever Awardees, which included the Provincial Government of Catanduanes at the provincial level and the municipalities of Bulan, Sorsogon; Virac, Catanduanes; and Pio V. Corpuz, Masbate at the municipal level.
DOH Bicol CHD congratulates all the awardees and expresses its appreciation for their outstanding contribution to the promotion of health in the region.
The department hopes that this recognition will inspire other LGUs and stakeholders to continue their efforts in developing and implementing innovative health programs and services for the benefit of the people of Bicol. | Jeric Lopez
