Legazpi City Agri launches Mobile Boat Marking and Color Coding

LEGAZPI CITY— The City of Agriculture in Legazpi launches mobile boat marking and color coding to easily identify the boats of the fishermen in the city and to update their existing data.

They are planning to register 1,100 mobile boats in 19 coastal barangays from March to April this year.

In an interview by Bicol.PH, Legazpi City Councilor and Committee Chair of the Fishery Divisiont Renato Valladolid said they have registered and marked 300 mobile boats in 3 barangays which are both existing and new boats.

Valladolid also says they plan to do the registration annually.

“Siguro dapat [yang] renewal, yearly ‘yan. I’m not sure nitong previous kung ginagawa nila na yearly. Ang sa akin ganun gusto ko mangyari ,” he said.

Meanwhile, they will provide color identification on the plate number of every boat in the city.

However, they’re planning to paint the whole boat for easy identification and expect to start next year.

| via Aimee Marie Sesno and Jemimah So
