LEGAZPI CITY — Bicol region’s 11th One Town, One Product (OTOP) Philippines Hub was launched at Ayala Malls Legazpi on Monday, January 30.
In a Facebook post, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bicol says the launching of another OTOP Phil Hub in the region was to provide a more conducive business environment for Bicol OTOP players and to penetrate new markets for Bicol OTOP products.
The event was headed by DTI Bicol Regional Rirector Rodrigo Aguilar. Also present were Jinky Aguinaldo, head of Alagang Ayala Land, Fr. Jose Victor Lobrigo, chairman of SEDP, Paulo Honrado, president of Rural Bank of Guinobatan, Nona Nicerio, president of OKB Association, Inc., and Department of Tourism (DOT) Bicol Regional Director Herbie Aguas.
Other OTOP Phil Hubs in the Bicol region can be found at CBD Terminal, Triangulo in Naga City; in Daet, Camarines Norte; along Maharlika Highway in Cabid-an, Sorsogon; Old Municipal Hall in Masbate City; in Salvacion and in San Andres at Virac, Catanduanes; in Sumlang Lake at Camalig; in Putsan at Tiwi; inside the Bicol International Airport; and inside the SEDCen Bldg., in Legazpi, Albay.
OTOP Phil Hub is a component of OTOP – a priority stimulus program for Micro, Small and Medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) as the government’s customized intervention to drive inclusive local economic growth – that serves as a marketing vehicle and incubation platform to promote and champion OTOP products.
