One of the most prestigious awards of the Department of Health (DOH) Bicol Center for Health and Development dubbed as Salud Bikolnon Awards returns after 2 years of postponement due to pandemic.
The DOH Bicol CHD held its 11th Serbisyong Salud Bikolnon (SSB) Awards and Araw ng Pasasalamat yesterday, January 13 at the Marison Hotel Legazpi City.
The SSB Awards aims to gather local health implementers to recognize and appreciate their exemplary practices towards the nation’s realization of the Universal Health Care.
The highest award given was the “Green Achiever Award Provincial Level” which was awarded to the Provincial Government of Albay, municipalities of Bulan and Barcelona in Sorsogon, Dimasalang in Masbate, and Malinao in Albay, and to the cities of Ligao and Legazpi.
The SSB also recognized various LGUs, health facilities, media partners, some Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) and other stakeholders for each of their specific health program accomplishments. They were awarded plaque of appreciation to recognize their outstanding effort amid Covid-19 pandemic.
The 11th (SSB) Awards and Araw ng Pasasalamat hopes to encourage LGUs and other health partners to continuously implement health programs and improve the delivery of accessible, equitable, and quality health services.
This year’s awards was anchored on the theme “Pagkaburunyog para sa Salud nin Kagabsan.”
