Two drivers died in a shooting incident in Maharlika Highway, Sitio Lagatic, Brgy. Taisan, Sipocot, Camarines Sur on Wednesday, January 11.
The victims were identified as Kervy Amardecer, 40 years old and a resident of Cagayan De Oro City and Saturnino Cruz, 32 years old and a resident of Brgy. Batong Paluway, San Andres, Catanduanes.
In a report by Sipocot Munipal Police, Amardecer was sitting inside a Mitsubishi Fuso (ten-wheeler) truck which was parked on a dark portion of the road when the suspect/s suddenly appeared and shot him several times causing his instant death.
Stray bullets from the same incident hit Saturnino Cruz Jr. who was driving his Isuzu Elf truck and was passing in the area. Cruz lost control of his vehicle causing it to crash on his side of the road.
The suspect/s are still unknown and the police are continuing its investigation.
