Bicol Philippine National Police reports this year’s observance of Undas has been generally peaceful.
A total of 154 prohibited items were confiscated by Police Regional Office 5 from those visiting the cemeteries which accordingly “paved way to deter eventualities that it might likely cause”.
Bicol PNP Regional Director, PBGEN Rudolph Dimas personally checked the readiness of the duty personnel by visiting public and private cemeteries in the region.
“Our collaborative efforts once again reaped positive results. We give thanks to our partner agencies and the whole community for helping us making this activity generally peaceful. Towards this end we shall continue our peacekeeping efforts to guarantee a safer and more peaceful community for all”, said Dimas.
Deployment of personnel and the establishment of police assistance desks in the different cemeteries in the region are set to run until November 4, 2022.
