CSC Bicol holds GovTalk

Senior high school and college students numbering to 379 participated in a virtual congress launched by Civil Service Commission Bicol.

With the theme “Youth: Potential Change Agents for a Future-Ready Civil Service”, it aims to challenge the youth in taking active roles in shaping the future of the civil service. The activity also aims to inform and attract more young and competent talents and let them realize how they can make a difference with their unique skill sets and fresh perspectives.

“Along with the demands due to the changing landscape of work in the new normal, we believe that our future young professionals must be equipped with the right knowledge, skills and mindset to make them potential change agents and valuable talents who can greatly contribute in our quest for a future-ready bureaucracy,” says CSC RO V Director IV Daisy Punzalan Bragais in her message. 

Among the topics discussed during the congress were Becoming Digital Ready, The importance of eligibility and how to acquire such, and Recruitment, Selection, and Placement in the Government, and Public Service Values. 

The GovTalk ended by challenging the participants to become involved in the society and participate actively in nation-building. 

“May all the knowledge and skills you have acquired in today’s activity empower you to become more valuable civil servants in the future and real-life heroes in the name of public service,” says CSC RO V Director III Rosalinni V. Moneda.
